1. Sumanadeva. A tree deity whose daughter, Kālī, was married to Dīghataphala. Because Kālavilangiya's (q.v.) wife, disguised as a man, brought him the news of the birth of a son to Kālī, he gave her the treasures which lay buried within range of the shadow of his tree. MA.ii.813.


2. Sumanadeva. An Elder of Ceylon, teacher at the Lohapāsāda. He was an eminent expert of the Abhidhamma. DhSA.31.
