An arahant. Ninety one kappas ago he saw Vipassī Buddha and offered him the pollen (renu) of nāga flowers.
Forty-five kappas ago he was a king named Renu (Ap.i.146).
He is evidently identical with Vajjiputta Thera. ThagA.i.143.
