A building attached to the palace of Parakkamabāhu I., at Pulatthipura.
It was painted and consisted of three storeys (Cv.lxxiii.87f).
The name was also given to one of the suburbs (sākhānagara) of Pulatthipura (Cv.lxxiii.153), in which the king built the Isipatana vihāra. Cv.lxxviii.79; but see Cv. Trs.ii.112, n.3.
