Father in law and commander in-chief of Gajabāhuka Gāmani.

After Gajabāhu's death he became king of Ceylon and reigned for six years (196-202 A.C.).

He built seven vihāras: Sejalaka, Gotapabbata, Dakapāsāna, Sālipabbata, Tanaveli, Tobbalanāgāpabbata and Girihālika.
