An arahant.

In the time of Atthadassī Buddha, he was named Nārada-Kesava. He heard the Buddha preach and, gladdened by the sermon, did him homage.

Seventeen kappas ago he became a king under the name of Amittatāpana (v.l. Amittavāsana?) (Ap.i.168f).

He is probably identical with Pavittha Thera. ThagA.i.185.
