A native of Burma and author of the Lokuppattipakarana, written at Pagan in the thirteenth century (Gv.64, 67). The Pitakatthamain calls the work Lokuppattipakāsanī (Bode, 16, n.3).

The Sāsanavamsa (74) speaks of three monks by the name of Aggapandita: Mahā-Aggapandita (evidently our author), Dutiya-Aggapandita (his saddhivihārika), and Tatiya-Aggapandlita (his nephew), all of Arimaddanapura and all famed for their learning.
